Dear Parent/Guardian:
Schools all across the country celebrate the love of reading every year during March Reading Month. Alba School is especially proud of our annual March Reading Program! It’s fun and FREE!
WHAT TO DO:
Make sure you COMPLETE, SIGN, and RETURN the DECLARATION OF PARTICIPATION that your child brings home. If you have not received one, please call the office or notify your child’s teacher and request one.
Each child has a daily READING GOAL based on the following Goal Chart:
PreK through 1st grade = 10 min.
2nd = 20 min
3rd = 30 min.
4th = 40 min.
5th = 50 min.
6th = 60 min.
Set aside TIME EACH DAY during March that your child can read at home.
IMPORTANT: Time a child listens to a book being read to him/her counts as well.
Each child has READING LOGS to fill out showing the at home reading time. Just ask for more if you need them. Make sure Logs get filled out, signed by you, and sent to school each day.
COME TO FAMILY READ NIGHT Thur. 03/24/22– 5:30-7:00 p.m. GAMES, PRIZES, PIZZA!
Thanks so very much for all you do to guide and encourage your child’s learning and reading each and every day.
